NOTICE ON SCAMS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

Dear Valued Customers,

Public Bank Vietnam (PBVN) would like to advise you to be cautious of sophisticated scams involving the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to impersonate the images, voices or identities of individuals or competent authorities to carry out illegal acts to appropriate assets.

To prevent these risks, PBVN would like to advise you:

• Never disclose confidential information such as OTP codes, CVV numbers, usernames, e-banking log-in passwords to anyone, including bank staff.
• Be cautious with calls or video calls from unknow numbers as AI can imitate voices and images.
• Do not click on suspicious links send via email, messages, or social media.
• Always check and re-verify information before making transaction.
• Limit sharing personal images and private information on social media to prevent misuse.
