With the growing development of information technology, cybercriminals have developed more sophisticated methods to forge Bank messages sent to customer’s mobile numbers in order to trick you into divulging information and transacting at their fake websites. Successful scammers are then able to steal login information (username, password) and authentication codes (OTP) to perform unauthorized transactions to appropriate money from your account.
In view of the above, Public Bank Vietnam (PBVN) wish to alert you with the following safe banking practices when performing online banking:
1. Do not access on any suspicious link. PBVN have only one official website at address: https://publicbank.com.vn and one official E-Banking website at address https://ebank.publicbank.com.vn
2. PBVN does not require customer to provide any security information such as: Username, passwords, OTP code or any other personal information through the link under any circumstances.
3. Do not download unknown applications on mobiles devices, only use the PB Engage VN application on safe devices and regularly update to the latest operating system; also, not to jailbreak/root into mobiles systems.
4. Do not disclose any personal information relating to E-banking and OTP to any caller even if the caller claims to be a bank employee.
5. When you detect signs of fraud, please immediately contact our Hotline number: Customer service 18001198, Card & E-banking Service 24/7 1800599930 or PBVN Branches/Transaction Bureaus for further assistance.
