[INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS] NOTIFICATION ON UPDATING IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS AND COLLECTING BIOMETRIC DATA AT PBVN

Dear Valued Customer

To comply with Circular No. 17/2024/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam, we kindly request you to update your personal identification documents and provide biometric data to maintain uninterrupted account services.

1. Updating information of Chipped Citizen ID Card/Chipped ID Card/Passport and/or collecting biometric data

• For Vietnamese individual Customer: If you open your payment account with an outdated non-chipped ID Card (including Identity Card with 9 digits, 12 digits and old ID Card)/Passport and/or have not completed providing biometric data, please update information of the latest Chipped Citizen ID Card/Chipped ID Card and/or provide biometric data by one of the following methods before 01/01/2025:

• Visiting the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau, or
• Using the PB Engage VN Mobile Application.

• For foreign individual Customer: Please update your passport details and provide biometric data by visiting the nearest PBVN Branch/Transaction Bureau before 01/01/2025. If you are a resident in Vietnam, please also submit a valid entry visa, visa-equivalent document, or proof of visa exemption.

Note: Starting from 01/01/2025, if you have not updated your identification document and/or biometric data, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO perform transactions on your payment account via e-Banking services, and WILL NOT BE ALBE TO conduct cash withdrawals and online payment transactions via PBVN Card as well.

2. Proactively review the validity period of identification documents of the individual registered to open payment account at PBVN

• You are requested to proactively review the validity of your identification documents used for opening and using payment account at the Bank and to ensure that this information is updated and valid.
• Starting from 01/01/2025, if the identification documents of the customer (Chipped Citizen ID Card/Chipped ID Card of the Vietnamese individual customer; Passport and entry visa or documents equivalent to visas or documents proving exemption from entry visas of the foreign individual customer) expire or become invalid, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO perform payment transactions, withdrawals on your payment account at PBVN.
